What is oral history?

Everyone knows the appearances of contemporary witnesses in the context of school lessons, where pupils usually listen to the reports of past events in awe. Or we encountered eyewitness reports at public commemorative and dunning events. In all of these situations, contemporary witnesses should act as living proof of the truth of what has been said.
